Cross-site scripting in Oxygen XML WebHelp before 22.1 build 2021082006 or 23.1 build 2021090310 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript. The search-term proposal path places specially crafted search text into generated WebHelp output without neutralizing executable JavaScript. Exploitation requires convincing a user to type the attacker-chosen expression into the output's search field, and the resulting script alters page behavior in that user's browser.
