Improper permission control in the AMS module of affected EMUI and HarmonyOS releases allows remote attackers to crash non-system apps. Huawei has not disclosed which AMS permission check is missing or what request reaches the faulty authorization path. Network access without authentication or user interaction is sufficient; the reported consequence is limited to crashes of non-system application processes.
