Service interruption and integrity loss via malformed syscall
Published May 9, 2023 · Updated Jan 28, 2025
Improper input validation in affected AMD processors allows attackers with a malicious Uapp or ABL to cause a service interrupt. The ASP bootloader's SVC_MAP_USER_STACK handler accepts a malformed or invalid system call without sufficient validation. Exploitation requires control of a Uapp or ABL and results in bootloader service interruption or loss of integrity.
