CVE-2021-46748

Service interruption via unchecked trusted-application memory bounds

Published Nov 14, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025

Out-of-bounds memory access in the AMD Secure Processor on affected Radeon graphics cards allows local users to interrupt service. The ASP fails to enforce a Trusted Application's permitted memory bounds and accesses memory outside that application's authorized range. Local low-privileged access is required, and the published impact is limited to availability; AMD does not identify whether interruption manifests as a crash, hang, or reboot.
