Local database crash via incorrect table-use tracking

Denial of service in MariaDB Server 10.5.9 and earlier allows local users to crash the database via a crafted SQL statement. The optimizer code in sql/sql_parse.cc applies incorrect used_tables expectations while processing the query, reaching an abort condition instead of rejecting the statement. A low-privileged local database session that can submit SQL is required, and successful triggering terminates the server process without affecting confidentiality or integrity.
