Information disclosure via JP2 out-of-bounds read
Published Feb 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in JP2 parsing in Bentley Systems Bentley View 10.15.0.75 allows remote attackers to disclose process memory. The JP2 parser fails to validate user-controlled image data before reading past an allocated buffer boundary. Exploitation requires the target to open a crafted file or visit a malicious page, and the disclosure can support a separate code-execution exploit.
