Code execution via DXF parser use-after-free
Published Feb 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Use-after-free in the DXF parser in Bentley Systems Bentley View 10.15.0.75 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted DXF file. The parser fails to validate that an object exists before operating on it, leaving a freed object accessible during DXF processing. Opening the file or visiting a malicious page is required, after which code runs in the context of the current process.
