Code execution via DXF parser use-after-free
Published Feb 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Use-after-free in Bentley Systems MicroStation 10.16.0.80 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted DXF file. The DXF parser operates on an object without first validating that the object still exists, triggering a use-after-free. The target must visit a malicious page or open the file; successful exploitation runs code in the current MicroStation process.
