Code execution via stale JT object use
Published Feb 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Use-after-free in the JT parser in Bentley Systems MicroStation CONNECT 10.16.0.80 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted JT file. The parser operates on a JT object without first validating that the object still exists, permitting access to freed memory. Opening the file or visiting a malicious page is required, and successful exploitation runs code with the current process's privileges.
