Information disclosure via DWG buffer over-read
Published Feb 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds read in Bentley Systems MicroStation CONNECT 10.16.0.80 allows remote attackers to disclose process memory via a crafted DWG file. The DWG parser does not properly validate crafted file data before reading past the end of an allocated buffer. Exploitation requires the target to open a malicious file or visit a malicious page; the disclosure supports code execution only when chained with another vulnerability.
