Remote code execution via DGN use-after-free
Published Feb 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
A use-after-free in Bentley MicroStation CONNECT 10.16.0.80 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a malicious DGN file. The DGN parser performs operations on an object without validating that the object exists, enabling code execution in the current process when the file is opened. Exploitation requires user interaction to open the crafted file or visit a page that causes it to be opened; the resulting process runs with the user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
