Code execution via JT parser out-of-bounds write
Published Feb 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Out-of-bounds write in Bentley Systems MicroStation CONNECT 10.16.0.80 allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted JT file. The JT parser writes crafted data past the end of an allocated buffer when the application opens the file. Exploitation requires the target to visit a malicious page or open a malicious file and runs code in the current process context.
