Stored XSS via unsanitized script tab input
Published Feb 15, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Vicidial 2.14-783a allows remote authenticated users to execute script in other users' browsers via stored input-tab data. The script-tab save path accepts crafted markup that bypasses filtering and stores it, and viewing the script causes browser execution. Login access is required, and the demonstrated consequence is execution of attacker-controlled JavaScript in a victim's session context; broader impact is not established by the public record.
