Interpreter crash via reentrant array mutation
Published Jan 27, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Use-after-free in jsi_ArgTypeCheck in Jsish 3.5.0 allows local users to crash the interpreter by running a crafted JavaScript file. The array callback mutates the same array during nested sort and every operations, freeing a value that jsi_ArgTypeCheck later reads. Exploitation requires the interpreter to execute the crafted script and affects availability only.
