Denial of service via Jsi_ObjFree use-after-free
Published Jan 27, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Heap-use-after-free in Jsish 3.5.0 allows local users to interrupt service through a crafted execution path reaching Jsi_ObjFree. The Jsi_ObjFree routine releases heap storage that subsequent execution accesses again, producing use-after-free behavior and a denial-of-service condition. Exploitation requires local execution with user interaction; published evidence does not show confidentiality or integrity impact, remote reachability, or exploitation in the wild.
