Administrator browser script execution via unescaped section identifier
Published Mar 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS and CSRF in phpIPAM 1.4.4 allow remote attackers to execute JavaScript in an administrator's browser via a crafted request. The endpoint writes the POST sectionid value into a hidden input without escaping it and accepts the request without validating a CSRF token. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to visit attacker-controlled content, enabling script execution and unintended administrative actions.
