Authenticated file disclosure via XLF external entities
Published Feb 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
XXE in Magnolia CMS 6.2.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read server files or trigger SSRF via a crafted XLF file. The Content Translation XLF importer accepts attacker-defined DOCTYPE entities, and the Export function serializes the resolved entity value. Valid Magnolia credentials and translation import and export access are required; demonstrated impact includes arbitrary server-file disclosure and SSRF.
