Path disclosure via verbose web-interface errors
Published Mar 4, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Information disclosure in the D-Link DIR-X1860 web interface through 1.03 allows remote attackers to obtain absolute application paths. An unauthenticated GET request to /cgi-bin/luci triggers an HTTP 500 error that returns the absolute path of the server-side luci directory. Network access to the management interface is sufficient, and the disclosed path supports reconnaissance or follow-on path traversal without directly altering data or service availability.
