Account takeover via unsanitized login email
Published Jan 21, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in SourceCodester Simple Music Cloud Community System 1.0 allows remote attackers to control accounts via a crafted email value. The /music/ajax.php endpoint passes the POST email value into a MySQL query without neutralizing SQL syntax, allowing injected subqueries and delays to execute. No authentication or user interaction is required to submit the login request; successful exploitation can disclose database data and take over subscriber and administrator accounts.
