CVE-2021-46167Public exploit

Encrypted-data access via mutable password-check result

Published Apr 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Authentication bypass in wizplat PD065 1.19 allows local users to access encrypted data by altering the password-check result. FingerTool trusts the locally mutable EAX result returned by FingerTo.AP_VerifyPwd; forcing 0 instead of the failure value 0x52400 selects the success branch. Local access capable of modifying the running program is required; successful exploitation also permits adding or deleting users and can interrupt service.
