Authenticated code execution via custom action scripts
Published Jan 27, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Remote code execution in Zabbix 4.0 LTS, 4.2, 4.4, and 5.0 LTS allows remote authenticated users to execute code on the server. The Actions interface lets the Zabbix Admin role create an action containing a custom script, which the application server executes as its service account. A Zabbix Admin session is required, and commands run with the application account's access to the host and database.
