Browser script execution via stored profile names
Published Jan 6, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Vehicle Service Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through account profile fields. The profile update accepts a script payload in the First Name or Last Name field, stores it, and renders it without effective output neutralization. Administrative access is required to plant the payload, and a viewing user must load the affected profile output for the script to run in that browser context.
