CVE-2021-46034Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored script execution via unvalidated registration nickname

Published Jan 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Stored cross-site scripting in ForestBlog allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser through a crafted nickname. The registration interface accepts a nickname without character validation, and the administrator user view renders that value in an executable page context. Exploitation requires an administrator to open the user function, after which the script can act with that browser session's access.
