Database query execution via unsanitized cart identifier
Published Jan 23, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
SQL injection in Projectworlds online-shopping-webvsite-in-php 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute SQL through cart_add.php without login. The script copies the GET id value into item_id and interpolates it directly into an INSERT statement passed to mysqli_query. A crafted cart request can execute attacker-controlled database expressions, including the published error-based query that discloses the database user.
