Authenticated script execution via stored vehicle color
Published Jan 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in SourceCodester Car Rental Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to run script in visitors' browsers. The admin/post-avehical.php handler stores the vehicalorcview form value without neutralizing script markup, which executes when the public car-rental page renders it. An administrator session is required to submit the vehicle form, and a visitor must later load the affected page; execution is limited to that visitor's browser context.
