LAN-side command execution via LocalIPAddress injection
Published Feb 4, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Command injection in D-Link DIR-882 and DIR-882-US firmware through 1.30B06 Hotfix 02 allows remote attackers to execute commands. The HNAP1 request handler fails to neutralize command syntax in the LocalIPAddress parameter before using it in a system command. The management interface must be reachable from the LAN; successful exploitation permits command execution on the router.
