Stored XSS via unrestricted attachment previews
Published Dec 28, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in SuiteCRM before 7.10.35 and 7.11.0 through 7.12.1 allows remote attackers to run JavaScript via uploaded attachments. The download.php preview path served non-HTML attachments inline without limiting inline display to configured allowed-preview extensions. A victim must open the attachment preview, after which the script runs in the SuiteCRM origin and can read or alter data available to that session.
