Authenticated reflected XSS via JSP parameters
Published Mar 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected cross-site scripting in PONTON X/P Messenger before 3.11.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via crafted web requests. Several private/index.jsp functions insert request parameters directly into JavaScript, iframe sources, or HTML without output encoding, allowing reflected payloads to run in a victim browser. Exploitation requires a user account for the normally internal web UI and a victim to follow a crafted link; impact is script execution in that web session, with no demonstrated server-side code execution.
