CVE-2021-45877Network attack vector

Unauthenticated Tomcat control via hard-coded credentials

Published Mar 21, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024

Hard-coded credentials in GARO Wallbox GLB, GTB, and GTC firmware 185 and earlier allow remote attackers to control Tomcat Manager. An account stored in /etc/tomcat8/tomcat-user.xml cannot be modified or deleted by normal users, and its credentials are accepted by the Tomcat Manager service on port 8000. Network access to that port and knowledge of the embedded credentials are sufficient to authenticate with Tomcat management privileges and control the application server.
