Browser script execution via unescaped title parameter
Published Dec 27, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Reflected XSS in glFusion CMS 1.7.9 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser through a crafted title parameter. The application copies the title request parameter unmodified into a double-quoted HTML attribute, permitting injected markup to escape the attribute context. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted request; the script runs in the application's origin and can read or modify browser-accessible data.
