Administrator hash disclosure via unauthenticated NAS API
Published Apr 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Information disclosure in TerraMaster TOS 4.2.X on F4-210 and F2-210 NAS devices allows remote attackers to read an administrator password hash. The unauthenticated mobile/wapNasIPS handler in module/api.php returns the PWD field, MAC address, internal IP address, and firmware metadata to requests bearing TNAS device headers. Network reachability is sufficient; the disclosed hash and MAC-derived token material supports administrator-session forgery and subsequent device compromise.
