Administrator hash disclosure via authorization-exempt mobile actions
Published Apr 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Information disclosure in TerraMaster TOS 4.2.15-2107141517 on F2-210 and F4-210 allows remote attackers to read administrator password hashes. The webNasIPS and wapNasIPS actions in mobile.class.php bypass the authorization-header check and return the first administrator hash, MAC address, internal IP address, and firmware data to requests carrying TNAS headers. Network access to the NAS web service and attacker-controlled User-Agent and User-Device headers are sufficient, and the disclosed hash and MAC address support administrator-session forgery through a separate flaw.
