Database extraction via unneutralized sid query
Published Mar 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Blind SQL injection in Xbtit 3.1 allows remote authenticated users to extract database contents through a crafted sid parameter. The ajaxchat/getHistoryChatData.php endpoint uses the sid value in a database query without neutralizing attacker-controlled SQL syntax. A registered account is required; successful exploitation can disclose usernames and password data and, where database privileges permit it, lead to server-side code execution.
