Unauthenticated command execution via arbitrary file upload
Published Dec 27, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Arbitrary file upload in MeterSphere 1.15.4 allows unauthenticated remote attackers to execute commands via network requests. The upload handler accepts attacker-chosen filenames and writes files to arbitrary directories, allowing a cron job to be planted for command execution. The unauthenticated network path requires no login or user interaction and permits attacker commands to run on the host.
