Stored script execution via unvalidated About content
Published Jan 6, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Stored XSS in Bludit 3.13.1's About plugin allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in site visitors' browsers. The plugin saves the About setting without validation and renders it on the public site without neutralizing embedded script. Access to the plugin settings is required, and execution occurs when a visitor loads the affected site, enabling actions in that visitor's Bludit origin.
