Unauthenticated command execution via host_time injection
Published Feb 4, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Command injection in TOTOLINK X5000R firmware 9.1.0u.6118_B20201102 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands. The NTPSyncWithHost function fails to neutralize command syntax in the attacker-controlled host_time parameter before using it in a command. The network path requires no authentication or user interaction, and exploitation gives attackers control over commands executed by the device.
