Unauthenticated command execution via undisclosed input
Published Dec 26, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Command injection in affected NETGEAR WiFi system firmware allows remote attackers on an adjacent network to execute commands without authentication. NETGEAR has not disclosed the affected interface, input parameter, or code path that passes untrusted data into a command. Exploitation requires adjacent-network access but no credentials or user interaction, and arbitrary command execution can compromise device data and operation.
