Authenticated code execution via unverified firmware archive
Published Dec 22, 2021 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Improper input validation in StarCharge charger firmware allows remote authenticated users to execute code through a crafted upgrade archive. The /ubi/local/apps/ocpp/ocpp upgrade service processes the uploaded ZIP without validating or authenticating the archive. Nova 360 Cabinet 1.3.0.0.7b102 and earlier and Titan 180 Premium 1.3.0.0.6 and earlier are affected; successful processing grants control of the device.
