Authenticated code execution via unrestricted upload paths
Published Dec 22, 2021 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Path traversal in affected Starcharge Nova 360 and Titan 180 firmware allows remote authenticated users to upload arbitrary files. The main.cgi web endpoint accepts an attacker-controlled upload path without restricting it to the intended directory, enabling placement of executable server files. Any authenticated account can reach the CGI interface, and a successful upload grants code execution on the charging appliance.
