Remote code execution via executable logo upload
Published Jan 12, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Unrestricted file upload in Printable Staff ID Card Creator System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code. The Add System Info form accepts a PHP file as an organization logo and stores it in the web-accessible media directory without blocking executable types. Access requires credentials, which the published exploit obtains through a separate unauthenticated SQL injection in the login email parameter before requesting the uploaded file.
