User redirection via unvalidated referuri destination
Published Feb 4, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Open redirect in out.Login.php in SeedDMS 6.0.15 allows remote attackers to redirect users to malicious sites through referuri. The login endpoint accepts the attacker-controlled referuri value as a redirect destination without verifying that it identifies a trusted site. Exploitation requires a victim to follow a crafted link, after which the SeedDMS origin can lend credibility to phishing or other malicious content.
