Application crash via invalid scene-command free
Published Dec 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
An invalid free in GPAC MP4Box 1.1.0 allows local users to crash the application by processing a crafted multimedia file. The gf_sg_command_del path treats a node-list field as an ordinary SVG attribute and frees a pointer that the field does not independently own. Exploitation requires user interaction to make MP4Box process the malicious file, and the published impact is limited to an application abort.
