Unauthenticated configuration access via Gin-routed Manager APIs
Published Dec 27, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Authentication bypass in Apache APISIX Dashboard 2.7 through 2.10 allows remote attackers to read or alter gateway configuration. The Manager API registers migration handlers directly with Gin while authentication middleware runs only through Droplet, leaving those routes outside the check. Network access to the Dashboard Manager API is sufficient to export configuration or import attacker-controlled routes, enabling traffic proxying, SSRF, and code execution.
