Cross-site scripting via unencoded PDF filename

Cross-site scripting in GNOME Web before 40.4 and 41.x before 41.1 allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted PDF filename. The PDF handler inserts the server-controlled suggested filename into the PDF.js viewer template as pdf_name without HTML-attribute encoding. A user must open the served PDF; the injected script can read or alter data available to the trusted viewer page.
