Script execution via unsanitized uploaded filenames
Published Apr 25, 2023 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Odoo Community and Enterprise 15.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script via uploaded filenames. FieldBinaryFile._renderReadonly appended filename_value to a link as an HTML string instead of assigning it as text. Reachability depends on an installed module exposing the binary field widget and a victim rendering the field, enabling data capture or actions with the victim's privileges.
