Code execution via JPEG2000 out-of-bounds write
Published Jan 13, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe InCopy 16.4 and earlier allows attackers to execute code by convincing a victim to open a malicious file. The JPEG2000 parser writes beyond an allocated buffer while processing crafted image data; Adobe has not disclosed the affected function or missing bounds check. Exploitation requires the victim to open the file, and resulting code runs with the current user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
