Code execution via crafted custom template
Published Feb 4, 2022 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Server-side template injection in iDreamSoft iCMS 8.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute code by rendering a custom template. The custom-template feature passes attacker-controlled content to the server-side renderer as executable template syntax instead of treating it solely as data. Exploitation requires the ability to add and render a custom template, and successful injection executes code in the web application's server context.
