Blacklist modification via cross-site request forgery
Published Dec 14, 2021 · Updated Aug 4, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in glFusion CMS 1.7.9 allows remote attackers to add blacklist entries through an administrator's session. The Bad Behavior blacklist endpoint at /public_html/admin/plugins/bad_behavior2/blacklist.php fails to verify that a state-changing request originated from its administration interface. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to follow attacker-controlled content, after which the unwanted entry alters request-blocking behavior.
