Incorrect Bluetooth permissions in Fortessa FTBTLD Smart Lock allow remote attackers to disable the lock by editing its name. An unauthenticated Bluetooth Low Energy characteristic exposes the device-name field as writable instead of read-only. After the name changes, the companion app refuses to connect until the lock's batteries are removed and reinserted, requiring Bluetooth proximity and causing a service interruption rather than physical unlocking.
