Local privilege escalation in Dräger Protector Software before 6.4.2 allows local users to execute arbitrary code with NT SYSTEM privileges. Overly permissive file-system ACLs let attackers replace Protector executables or modules that a privileged process later loads. Exploitation requires local access and user interaction; successful replacement runs attacker-controlled code as NT SYSTEM, enabling host-wide software modification and service interruption.
